Film Making is Good For Idaho Tourism
Sometimes we don't consider what an impact certain industries can have on a state or local economy, but the State of Idaho recognizes that the Film Industry can be a great boom for Idaho's economy. Anyone who is in the tourism industry benefits when they choose to film here in our lovely state and this is something that should not be ignored. That is why I am attending the IdahoCineposium here in Coeur d'Alene this weekend.
I want to learn more and find out how I can contribute or provide support, because my clients in the Restaurant, Beverage, and Cycling benefit when people are brought to the area. When they are happy it makes me happy!
I also get a chance to see of special screening on Friday evening at Silverwood theme park of the movie Soda Springs and that just adds some an extra bonus to attending the event.
If you have been sitting on the fence and want to attend this event there is still time to register here:
Idaho Cineposium, An Indie Northwest Film Conference, May 18-19, 2012
Join us in Coeur d'Alene May 18-19, 2012 for the 2nd annual Idaho Cineposium. Kicking off the event will be the premiere of the Idaho-made film SODA SPRINGS. Silverwood Theme Park is opening their gates for our event in their theater. Writer-actor Jay Pickett and executive producer Gary Hollie will introduce the film and stay for a Q & A after. Saturday, we'll convene at the Coeur d'Alene Inn for keynote presentations, panel discussions and a very special interview guest. Topics being developed include funding and legal issues, production management, social networking for filmmakers, and distribution.
